The DNS A registry is one of the most used entry types. It contains information about the IP address to which a subdomain associated with your domain should be forwarded. For example, the subdomain "www" associated with your domain is used to forward your website to the IP address of the server on which it is hosted. DNS A records only point a domain to an IPv4 address.
